FAIRTIQ was founded in 2016 in Bern, Switzerland with a clear mission: create the easiest way to everyday mobility for everyone, everywhere.
Today, we’re a team of over 150 people across the world with diverse backgrounds and skills, working together to make public transport smarter and more accessible.
Everything we build starts with the same principle: everyday mobility should be easy to access, simple to use and designed for everyone. By combining intuitive design with powerful technology, we make complex ticketing systems feel effortless for passengers and operators alike.
We act transparently, honestly and fairly in everything we do.
We foster a collaborative and positive environment for our team and partners.
We continuously improve our product and support the ambitions of our team.
We embrace creativity and innovation through collaboration.
We design accessible, intuitive and seamless user experiences.
We build responsible, future-oriented mobility solutions.
More than 150 dedicated and experienced people make FAIRTIQ what it is today. Our team combines expertise across technology, mobility and data to solve complex challenges in public transport.
FAIRTIQ was co-founded by Gian-Mattia Schucan, who now leads the company alongside Co-CEO Anne Mellano. Together, they bring complementary expertise in mobility, technology and business. Supported by the wider FAIRTIQ team, they share one ambition: to make public transport the easiest way to travel.
Sustainability is part of how we operate. We prioritise public transport for business travel, reduce waste in daily operations and promote environmentally responsible behaviour across the team, like using less paper and avoiding single-use packaging.
For private trips, employees benefit from generous FAIRTIQ travel perks. To further reduce our impact, we support certified climate action projects through our partnership with myclimate.
FAIRTIQ is committed to achieving Net Zero by 31 December 2045 in line with Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 06/21.
Our Carbon Reduction Plan outlines the steps we are taking to reduce emissions and reach this goal.
The plan was approved and signed by CEO Gian-Mattia Schucan on 4 June 2026.
