Why data?

Calculating public transport trips using data provided by your mobile phone is central to FAIRTIQ’s solution. In other words, FAIRTIQ cannot function without your location data, for example. To provide the service, additional data categories are also required.

As a principle, FAIRTIQ only processes personal data if it contributes to the service we offer you, the user. For example, to comply with national ticketing standards, FAIRTIQ needs to personalise the ticket, requiring only the necessary data for this purpose. All personal data is securely stored by FAIRTIQ.

ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is an industry-recognised information security certification that focuses on the implementation of an information security management system (ISMS) and security risk management processes. FAIRTIQ has been ISO 27001:2013 certified since 2023.

FAIRTIQ records only the data necessary to offer our core services: correctly calculating your public transport journey, providing you with a valid ticket, settling journeys, preventing service abuse, and answering customer care requests. For additional purposes, such as service improvement or providing relevant information, we do not collect extra data.
