FAIRTIQ switches to financial technology platform Adyen
New partnership improves convenience and security when paying via app
Secure, simple, reliable, fast: this is how digital payment should work and nothing else. This is what users of the FAIRTIQ app expect, what our partners in the transport companies and associations expect and what FAIRTIQ itself expects. As in all digital areas, there are always new developments in payment platforms and therefore new opportunities to improve the convenience and security of payment transactions. With this in mind, FAIRTIQ has decided to switch to the financial technology platform Adyen.
Adyen is one of the world's leading payment processors, used by major telephone providers, social media platforms, fashion chains, fast food restaurants and streaming providers, among others. It is therefore highly likely that many FAIRTIQ users have already made payments via Adyen in other areas. However, the strong market position alone was not the decisive factor in FAIRTIQ's choice of Adyen.
Fast, secure payments with a variety of payment methods
For our users, switching to Adyen means one thing above all: a seamless, cross-regional and secure payment experience. Adyen offers a unified platform that supports a variety of international and local payment methods. This means that users of the FAIRTIQ app can continue to pay for their public transport ticket digitally in the way they personally prefer. FAIRTIQ recommends the use of Google Pay and Apple Pay. Both are quick and easy to set up, have high security standards and are also available in all countries where the FAIRTIQ app can currently be used. Adyen's fast and reliable transactions ensure that ticket purchases can be completed without delay - and that no one misses boarding the bus or train because the payment process is delayed.
European data protection and data security requirements are met
Adyen was founded in the Netherlands. The company is headquartered in Amsterdam. The European requirements for data protection and data security are binding and are complied with by Ayden. These requirements include the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and other relevant national and international regulations for data hosting and data transmission.
Low transaction costs, high fraud protection
Adyen is one of the largest payment providers in Europe and - like FAIRTIQ - is also on a growth trajectory. By working together, FAIRTIQ can quickly and easily integrate new local payment methods and increase the efficiency of payment processing. In addition, Adyen offers a comprehensive and modern fraud prevention solution that protects both passengers and ticket providers from fraudulent activity using machine learning technology, among other things, effectively minimizing fraud risks while maintaining a seamless passenger experience.
With Adyen, FAIRTIQ relies on a robust, secure and reliable payment infrastructure that makes the use of public transport even more convenient and easier for passengers and ticket sales for companies.
