Questions about travelling with FAIRTIQ

Do I need to enter my destination?

No. FAIRTIQ does not require a destination. Simply swipe and travel as usual. The app determines your route automatically and calculates the correct fare based on the local tariff system.

How does FAIRTIQ calculate my journey?

FAIRTIQ uses selected data points from your smartphone, such as location signals and movement patterns, to determine your journey. This data is processed securely and only for the purpose of calculating the correct route and fare.

When is my trip completed?

You can end your journey in the app, or let Smart Stop do it for you. In selected regions, FAIRTIQ Go can automatically detect your journey from start to finish. Once your trip is complete, FAIRTIQ calculates the correct fare based on your route and the local tariff system.
