In December 2021, the FAIRTIQ team began participating in an international series produced for UITP and their members by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions.
The idea behind the series was to showcase organisations within the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) which are helping to usher in a new era of urban mobility on the five continents. Thanks to its innovative ticketing solution that makes public transport use easy and sustainable, FAIRTIQ is representing Switzerland.
The storyline: Movement is everywhere…
“The great thing about travelling and dance is that it has many similarities: it is all about momentum”, Helena Kate Amor
The FAIRTIQ film features Helena Kate Amor, a Swiss professional dancer. It is her story which guides this deep-dive into the world of FAIRTIQ. Helena’s work means that she is on the road a lot and flexible travel options are really important. The FAIRTIQ app is the perfect solution for the young creative because all she has to do is set off and the app does the rest.
“Public transport brings people together and allows us to move around freely and sustainably.” Gian-Mattia Schucan, FAIRTIQ founder and CEO
In the FAIRTIQ film, Gian-Mattia Schucan, the FAIRTIQ CEO, explains that FAIRTIQ is used not only across Switzerland but in many other parts of Europe too. Expansion into new markets is important for the ongoing development and improvement of the FAIRTIQ app. It will also bring the company much closer to achieving its mission of making public transport use around the world simple and sustainable.
“It was great working with the FAIRTIQ team on this project and understanding what drives them. We can’t wait to see the reaction from our international audience (...).” Simon Shelley, Vice President of BBC Programme Partnerships
A huge thanks from the FAIRTIQ team to everyone who made this fantastic film possible!
