Bern, 13 May 2024. FAIRTIQ, the pioneering mobile PAYG ticketing solution, announces the integration of Czech and Swiss German languages into its innovative ticketing app, enhancing accessibility and user experience for travellers.
The addition of Czech and Swiss German languages to the FAIRTIQ app reflects the company's commitment to providing a seamless and inclusive experience for all users. This development comes as a response to the expansion of the FAIRTIQ app to new markets. FAIRTIQ is proud to introduce the Czech language support to accommodate passengers in the Zlín region where the app will be launched later this year. With the expansion into the Czech language, FAIRTIQ aims to facilitate convenient and user-friendly ticketing experiences for residents and visitors in this area, but also for Czech speaking users in all other FAIRTIQ partner regions across Europe.
In addition to Czech, FAIRTIQ now also offers support for Swiss German, specifically the "Berndeutsch" dialect. This extension is a humorous homage to FAIRTIQ's origins as a Bernese start-up.
"We are excited to introduce Czech and Swiss German languages into the FAIRTIQ app, reaffirming our dedication to making public transportation accessible to all," said Gian-Mattia Schucan, Founder and Co-CEO at FAIRTIQ.
The integration of Czech and Swiss German languages into the FAIRTIQ app is now available for both iOS and Android users. The language of the FAIRTIQ app is based on the settings of the smartphone.
Travelling with FAIRTIQ
Before boarding a train, tram or bus, passengers check in by swiping the app. This means they have a valid ticket for the entire public transport network in the corresponding region. When they arrive at their destination, they swipe again to end the cost calculation. The app uses location services to register the route travelled and calculates the correct fare.
